Dr Jawaid Yaqub completed his Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Karachi, Pakistan, in 1990.

Dr Yaqub also holds an Australian Medical Council (AMC) Certificate, and became accredited as a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2012.

27 years of extensive experience in hospitals and general practice; including 15 years in general practice with clinical and management experience involving diagnosis, treatment and management of complex medical conditions and teaching of junior doctors and medical students. I have been a Director and an Owner of Medical Centres and have developed and managed medical centres within the last 12 years.

His special interests are Family Health, Mental Health and Chronic Health Management. He understands the duty of care toward his patients and always seeks to maintain respectful relationships as a GP in Wellington Point.

Dr Yaqub also speaks Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu.
